Barbera
Vineyard
Our historic “Nizza” vines come from marly calcareous soils.
The harvest, done by hand, takes place between the second half of September and the month of October.
Certified Integrated Pest Management Agriculture.
Vinification and ageing
The alcoholic fermentation is in steel tanks at a controlled temperature and involves contact with the skins for at least 2 weeks. At the beginning of the following year, the harvest begins the refinement in small oak barrels which lasts at least 12 months.
After bottling, the wine remains in the cellar in the bottle laid down for about a year, thus continuing its evolution at its best.
Description and tasting notes
This wine maintains and enhances its characteristics for many years, refining over time.
Color: intense ruby red with deep purple reflections.
Nose: enveloping scent of ripe berries and morello cherry leaving room for more complex and spicy tones on the finish;
Taste: full-bodied, with good structure, with a characteristic mineral note on the finish.
Food pairings
Its complex structure makes it perfect to accompany the great dishes of the piedmonts’ tradition. Excellent in combination with structured and complex first courses and second courses.
